Brain-Dead Young Mother Saves Six Lives Through Organ Donation

In a deeply moving act of courage, the family of 25-year-old Mrs Naidu Madhusri from Jangareddygudem chose to donate her organs after she was declared brain-dead at KIMS Sikhara Hospitals, Guntur.

Her family’s noble decision helped save six lives, offering hope to patients waiting for life-saving transplants. The hospital staff and Jeevandan team appreciated the family’s strength, calling it a remarkable example of compassion and social responsibility.

Mrs Madhusri was admitted on March 13th, following a serious medical emergency. Despite the dedicated efforts of neurologists and critical care specialists, her condition did not improve. After tests confirmed the cessation of brainstem function, doctors declared her brain-dead on March 15th.

The hospital team sensitively counselled her husband, Mr Naidu Durga Rao, her parents and other family members about organ donation. In a moment of immense grief, the family showed extraordinary humanity by giving consent to donate her organs through Jeevandan, the State Organ Donation Authority.
